We are a small unit, currently consisting of 6 Explorers who enjoy many activities across the year. We participate in activities and camps with the group, district and as a unit.
We currently meet on a Wednesday evening 7pm - 9pm.
We help to fundraise across the year to help fund for the group by organising quiz nights, discos and through group activities such as bag packing in local stores.
We all participate in County and District led Young Leader Training where we learn the skills needed to become future unit leaders, we volunteer with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to reinforce these skills.
Recently 2 of the Explorer unit walked 119 miles of the Pilgrims Way to raise funds for their trip the The World Jamboree in Japan 2019.
"It is very rewarding being an Explorer Scout, you make new friends District wide and beyond. You are given new opportunities to experience activities such as climbing, hiking and camping you would not get anywhere else." - Ellen-Ann Keys - Explorer Scout since June 2017
